The procedure for membership of the Association shall involve the following:
Every candidate for membership of the Association shall first be introduced at the general meeting by a registered member.
Shall complete a Formal Application for membership of the Association on the prescribed form and comply with other administrative and admission conditions as may be prescribed by the Executive Committee.
Such aspiring member shall be required to attend three consecutive meetings during which he/she shall be observed.
After such observations, where the candidate is found to be of good character he/she will then be introduced to General meeting by the Executive Committee for confirmation of membership at a General meeting.
Upon admission a candidate shall immediately pay a registration fee in the sum of Five Thousand Naira or such other sum as may be prescribed by General meeting from time to time.
Once confirmed such a candidate shall pay in full a year’s subscription regardless of the month of admittance.
Oath of Membership
All successful candidates before being issued a card of the Association shall be required to subscribe to an oath.
Affirming his allegiance and loyalty to the Federal Republic of Nigeria as well as to the OnTiv Professionals Association.
Disclaiming membership of any secret cult, society or organization,
Undertaking not to canvass, promote or advance partisan political position in the conduct of the business of the Association.
Accepting not to discriminate between and amongst members in the conduct of the affairs of the Association.
Cessation of Membership
A member who absents himself from General meetings for six consecutive meetings without any just or acceptable reason may upon deliberation and conclusion at a general meeting loss his membership.
A member who has been found guilty in a Court of Law of an offence other than a simple or traffic offence may loss membership upon deliberation and affirmative conclusion by members in a general meeting.
A member may loss his membership where it has become obvious to the Executive Committee that such member continuously and willfully refuses to meet their financial obligation for an upward of not less than six months, the Executive Committee shall forward the issue to the General meeting where upon deliberation and conclusion such member is found culpable.
