About Membership
- Membership of OnTiv Professionals Association shall be open to eligible and interested persons of adult age within Nigeria and the Diaspora.
- Membership is open to single men or single women or a family unit. Family unit in this instance means a husband, wife and a maximum of four Children.
- Upon admittance, after satisfying membership requirements as specified hereto and agreeing to be bound by the OnTiv Professionals Association Constitution, members must be committed to furthering the aims and objectives of the Association
REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP
Candidates for membership of the Association shall satisfy the following requirements:
They must be at least 18 years of age.
They must be free from legal impediments, interpreted as such by Membership Development Committee.
They must have a satisfactory Academic and Professional qualification.
They must be persons who are Tiv by birth as defined in chapter III of the Nigerian Constitution, 1999 or any authorized amendment or reenactment thereof, or:
Be non-Tiv women married to Tiv men, or:
Be Tiv daughters married to non-Tiv men, or:
Be any foreigner who satisfies the provisions of Chapter III section 27 particularly paragraph (d) of sub-section 2 of the Nigerian Constitution or any authorized amendment or reenactment thereof and is accepted as a Tiv resident, or:
Be any other person ineligible under any of the foregoing paragraphs, but who has in the opinion of the Trustees or the Membership Development Committee, can help or has indeed contributed in the attainment of the aims and objectives of the Association or any of them upon recommendation outlining the distinctive contributions and concurrence of the General Meeting, may be granted Honorary, Associate, or any other discretionary class of membership of the Association.
